Inside The Cupboard

Today's displacement activity is to invite you into The Cupboard to see where the Nod offs begin their life. (Don't worry, the designer, presenter and producer all work in other spaces, we don't play office sardines.)

And don't be alarmed at the zingy green walls, you don't need to adjust your set. I felt it would be a colour that would energise me and all that goes on in here. Most people recoil in horror when I open the door. Rather than super-energised, I fear it has made my eyes go wonky.

My computer (a laptop) sits upon a fine old port box (stuffed to the gunnels with paper to recycle). As you can see, not very tidy, but a veritable hive of industry. I am in the kitchen making a cup of tea.

If anyone missed yesterday's Nod off slot on MacAulay & Co on Radio Scotland, just click here.

It's a health and safety nightmare.

I'm grateful for the insight that the things a place is stuffed to can be spelled "gunnels" as well as "gunwales" which is what I would have written. Except of course when they're "small, elongated fishes of the family Pholidae, common in the tidal pools and coastal waters of northern seas".
