After all that tidying and polishing, I fear there was no visit from Scott Pack. In fact I think my invitation was scrubbed out of the ether. It was listed in comments one minute and then disappeared the next. I hope we weren't considered undesirable.
I had been wondering whether blogging was a useful marketing tool. Or do people just zoom past what you are trying to flog and read the blog.
The reason I asked this was because I do the same thing myself. Also, the most comments received to blogs (from my research) is to do with personal stuff - partners, babies, pets, etc. And one of my favourite bloggers, Susan Hill, is retiring from the internet and regaining a life. Perhaps she is doing a wise thing.
Anyway, I will carry on blogging.
Did I tell you that the Nod offs are fantastic? They give you a huge amount of information in such a gentle and interesting way.
These are the ideal gifts for insomniac language learners. And so, so, SO underpriced. Buy one before we run out of stock.
McGraw-Hill certainly know a good thing when they see one. They are on course to publish the four language Nod offs next summer.
You may gather that I am going to be confident from now on. That is how the world of banking operates - one real pound for every 10 confidence pounds. The difference is that the Nod offs are really good and that buying one is only going to improve your life, not result in you losing your home and livelihood.

Scott asked me to pop in behalf because:
a) He did come and visit last week but doesn't have a Google or Blogger ID so wasn't able to leave a message. He's mentioned the problem on his blog.
and
b) To let you know that your comment is on his site, but is on page two of the comments for that blog post.
He now owes me some tea and biscuits for doing that for him.
on his behalf, I should say
