Amazon update

Since I last blogged I have been in touch with Amazon. They are amazingly efficient at replying to queries (the same day) which is very impressive.

They are currently working on a feature that targets all campaigns - interestingly, both negative and positive. This is the reply I received when I asked if, in the meantime, they could remove the voting (helpful/unhelpful clicking) from my reviews:

Unfortunately, at this point in time, we are unable to remove the unhelpul votes from the posted reviews. We are aware that you feel they have become the target of negative campaigning, but until this can be tracked and proven, we have no reason to remove the votes. Once we implement the anaylsis feature on our website, retro-active action will be taken to correct all campaigns, negative and positive.

When I asked when the feature would be available, they replied early in 2010.

I don't know if anyone else feels they have been the target of negative/positive campaigning, but if so, email reviews-help@amazon.co.uk as this will help their research and hopefully speed up the analysis tool.
