A nasty review on Amazon
Well today poor old Nod off in French got slated on Amazon. I cannot tell you how upset it made me. I think because it used words like 'appalling' and 'affreux' and then described it as being a 'phrase-book' read aloud.
Which is very odd. The Nod offs are an explanation of the grammar of the language and cover things like nouns, adjectives, indirect objects, reflexive verbs. What some people might term 'boring' and I would call 'enlightening'.
But phrases? Definitely not. So is it someone just being nasty?
It really hit me in the solar plexus. And for a yogini, that is pretty bad.
What is more frustrating is that Amazon is our shop window. The publishing world and booksellers are often anti-Amazon, but as a small publisher we have found them the most accommodating of all chains. They have had no bookbuyer barring our entry onto their bookshelves. In fact, Nod off in French often appears under the 20,000 mark and holds its own against the big boys on the block.
So I am afraid I don't like whoever posted such a dubious review. But as a firm believer in Karma, I am sure if anything untoward is going on, Karma will roll back her sleeves and sort it out.
Namaste!
